Monday General Session

Duro-Last® President Darren Schulz kicked off a morning full of exciting updates and celebrations at General Session, followed by a special presentation from former NRCA President Reed Ribble. Both new and familiar faces took turns sharing the stage to dive into a variety of topics, including going to market and winning market share in 2026, sales insights, a fireside chat with Duro-Last leaders, and exciting news from the team driving industry-changing innovations.

News and product announcements from Monday's General Session:

  • Marketing Communications Manager Melissa Hubbell unveiled a new suite of customizable mailers, now available to order on the Duro-Last Storefront.

  • EXCEPTIONAL® Metals General Manager Kevin Blaesser shared that most metal panel quoting is transitioning in-house under the DefendEX™ product line, improving pricing and order control.

  • Director of Quality Assurance Aaron Kisser shared that QA Technical Representatives have been trained in metal panel installation inspections to support the metal panel warranty process.

  • Vice President of Technology Mitch Gilbert, Director of Product Management Erica Farver and Senior Product Manager Crint LaBrosse unveiled four new products coming to Duro-Last contractors in 2026:

    • SWIF Solar Rack - an elevated solar racking system designed specifically to integrate with the Duro-Last Roofing System, allowing for easy maintenance and long-term performance.​

    • Duro-Last PVC to TPO Tie-In - consisting of vinyl-clad metal with a laminated TPO film on one side and PVC film laminated to the other with corresponding membrane skirts welded to each side for ease of installation.

    • VADA Vented Roof System - a new partnership with VADA brings the perimeter-enhancing wind-vented system to Duro-Last, backed by the industry-leading warranties that set us apart.

    • Duro-Fast™ AnchorBoard System - a true innovation, this patented technology consists of the Duro-Fast SmartFuse board and Duro-Fast Volt. The SmartFuse board is lined with a thermally activated adhesive layer, allowing Duro-Fleece™ or Duro-TECH™ TPO Fleece to bond to the entire surface of the board using the self-propelled Duro-Fast Volt power unit.

Four contractors were also recognized during General Session for their outstanding work over the previous year with Project Awards. Four Seasons Energy Efficient Roofing received the 2025 Sustainability Award for Merrick, Inc. in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota. Springfield Roofing received the 2025 Specialty Membrane Award for the Community Center in Suttons Bay, Michigan. Lighty Roofing and Construction received the 2025 Custom-Fabrication Award for the Greentech Center in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Finally, Quality Exteriors received the 2025 Edge-to-Edge & Deck-to-Sky™ Award for Modera SoBro in Nashville, Tennessee.
