Monday General Session

Duro-Last® President Tom Saeli brought a morning full of updates, celebrations and innovations to General Session. Company leaders, including Holcim Building Envelope's Global Head, Solutions & Products Jaime Gentoso, took turns sharing the stage to cover a variety of topics including a deeper dive into our accelerated playbook with Holcim, sustainability initiatives, engineering services and exciting product announcements.

News and product announcements from Monday's General Session:

Duro-Last introduced four new colors to the Duro-Tuff® and Duro-Fleece® membrane lines: Brown, Midnight Bronze, Bright Red and Colonial Red.
Duro-Last Engineering Services announced alternative solutions and an updated installation detail for "peel stop" requirements, as well as updated cover board requirements, significantly reducing installation time and budget.
Duro-Last has officially recycled more than 100 million pounds of pre-consumer PVC through sustainable manufacturing practives and more than 100,000 pounds of Duro-Last membrane through the Recycle Your Roof program. Duro-Last is working towards a goal of one million pounds of recycled membrane in the next four years.
EXCEPTIONAL® Metals is expanding operations into the Ludlow, Massachusetts, facility. Expected to be fully functioning by Q2.
EXCEPTIONAL Metals introduced a new color palette, featuring 19 new stock colors and 15 non-stock colors as well as nine painted .040 aluminum colors with additional options for .032 and .050.

Five contractors were also recognized during General Session for their outstanding work over the previous year with Project Awards. Hi-Tech Roofing and Sheetmetal received the 2023 Custom-Fabrication Project Award for the customized installation on its office headquarters in Lake Worth, Florida. Damschroder Roofing received the 2023 Sustainability Award for Athens Community Center in Athens, Ohio. All Weather Systems received the 2023 Metal Roofing Project Award for Utica High School in Utica, Ohio. Palmer Roofing received the 2023 Edge-to-Edge & Deck-to-Sky™ Award for Enterprise High School in Enterprise, Oregon. Finally, Coryell Roofing received the 2023 Specialty Membrane Award for Woodward Early Childhood Center in Woodward, Oklahoma.
